Welcome to the Town of Eureka, Montana. I am pleased to be serving as your Mayor and want to invite you all to be active in the community and Town.
Town of Eureka’s elections will occur this year. This is a great opportunity to serve your community. A Declaration for Nomination-candidate form must be filed with the Lincoln County Clerk and Recorders office no later than June 17th, 2019. Election questions should be directed to the Lincoln County Clerk and Recorders Office at 406-283-2302. There are two 2-year Council Positions open and two 4-year Council Positions open. As well as the City Judge which is a 4-Year position. There is no filing fee for Council positions.
You do have to be a resident within the Eureka Town Limits to serve on the Eureka Town Council and a resident within Lincoln County to run for the Town Judge.
Our Town Council hosts monthly meetings every second Monday of the Month at the Town Hall starting at 7:00 pm; unless otherwise posted.
Please take a moment to read the Town of Eureka Strategic Plan 6-10-2016. The Town is currently working with members of the community to develop a Growth Policy and updated Capital Improvement Plan for 2019. The Town has hired Jackola Engineering and Architects, with assistance from Rural Economic Designs, to coordinate the planning process.
Agendas and minutes of meetings are available at the Town Hall; 11 Dewey Avenue and are posted on this website when they are approved by the Council. Minutes are not approved until the following month, so this website will be a month “behind” in posting of the minutes.
We will strive to add the agenda prior to each month on this website. Come back often and join us at our Council meeting… we do love to see the public that we are serving. And follow us on Facebook. We share Community and Town activities there and it is a great resource to find out what is happening in Eureka.
Please note, however, that comments on Facebook cannot be responded to by the Council/Mayor. The best way to communicate with us is through written comments and by participating in our meetings. To be on the agenda please come in two weeks prior to the meeting (2nd Monday of every month unless on a recognized holiday) and fill out an agenda request form. Or, you can address the Council during public comments. Just note, that if your issue is not on the agenda the Council cannot act on it until the next meeting.
We look forward to continuing to serve you all.
Mayor of Eureka
